Hi, I’m Brandon!
I'm an Oregon-based photographer of Sugpiaq and Norwegian descent, originally from Kodiak Island, Alaska, a remote, rugged archipelago known for its wild beauty, abundant wildlife, and rooted in Indigenous culture and tradition. Growing up surrounded by dramatic coastlines, dense forests, and ever-changing weather shaped my connection to the natural world and sparked a lifelong passion for photography.
In my early adult years, I worked across the Gulf of Alaska, removing marine debris, building trails in remote communities, serving as a deckhand on a research charter, and studying salmon populations throughout the Kodiak Archipelago. These experiences grounded me in the land and traditions of my Sugpiaq heritage and continue to shape my creative perspective.
With a background in Environmental Science and a deep respect for the outdoors, I primarily focus on landscape photography, but I also shoot lifestyle and hiking portraits that capture people immersed in landscapes. I've partnered with small businesses for branding shoots and offer prints/calendars of my work for those who want to bring the outdoors inside.
Whether it's a rugged coastline or a quiet trail moment, my goal is to create images that honor the raw, authentic beauty of the natural world and the people connected to it.
